Tara & Jonny
Tara and Jonny’s wedding day kicked off early with the groom, his Dad and best friends taking a refreshing dip in the sea after some pier jumping. Meanwhile the room at Longueville, where Tara, her bridesmaids and parents were getting ready, was packed full of excited energy as they prepared for the day ahead.
It was a beautiful sunny summer’s day, perfect for a wedding at Mont Orgueil Castle, Jersey. The ceremony took place within the Medieval hall, which was a wonderful setting with its tall white ceiling, flowers and petals scattered on the ground. After the ceremony, I took some portraits of the bride and groom walking around the castle grounds, enjoying the sunshine, the view and each other, before they went to meet their guests for the reception. The marquee was set up in a stunning location, right on the cliff edge, looking straight out to sea. During the reception, there was a slightly precarious moment when the bride and groom cut the cake and it looked as if the top might fall off, but this just added to the humour and fun of the day! Once the cake was safely cut, the guests crowded around the dance floor for the first dance when the groomsmen blasted Tara and Jonny with confetti canons. This ignited the party for the evening ahead.
